Weng Zhenxin, was born in 1948, in Putian, Fujian. He graduated from Department of Art of Fujian Normal University and kept staying in the University for teaching after graduation. Later he further studied in Department of Traditional Chinese Painting of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. He is Director of Chinese Artists Association, member of Chinese Painting Art Committee of Chinese Artists Association, President of Fujian Artists Association, Director of Figure Painting Art Committee of Fujian Artists Association, professor and master supervisor of College of Fine Arts of Fujian Normal University and former President of College of Fine Arts of Fujian Normal University.

His figure paintings pursue to be vivid, vigorous and unyielding, to reach harmonious integration of realism and symbolism, either natural and unrestrained or profound and dignified, to make the vicissitudes of both sides of the Taiwan Straits into epic pictures.

In 1997, his Wordless Rock was exhibited and won the highest prize(Silver Prize) at 1st National Chinese Painting and Figure Painting Exhibition and included in A Complete Collection of Contemporary Chinese Fine Arts and Contemporary Chinese Fine Arts (1979-1999). Zheng Chenggong was selected for 7th National Art Exhibition, Silent Glory for 8th National Art Exhibition, The Shallow Strait and Chinese Allusions Selection for 11th National Art Exhibition and Five-Colors Stone for 12th National Art Exhibition. National academic journals like Fine Arts and Fine Arts Observation have had feature reports on Weng Zhenxins traditional Chinese painting. Publications include Weng Zhenxin Artwork Collection, Famous Contemporary Painter Weng Zhenxin,  Classic Techniques of Famous Contemporary Chinese PainterWeng Zhenxins Free-style Figure Painting, Celebrity Forum—Weng Zhenxin Talks About Speed Sketching, Huian Women, etc..  In 1999, he was appointed as a judge of 9th National Art Exhibition by Ministry of Culture and Chinese Artists Association. In 2003, he was elected as one of Contemporary Outstanding Chinese Painters and participated in Contemporary Outstanding Traditional Chinese Painting Exhibition In Beijing which was  organized by National CPPCC. In 2008, he was awarded provincial “Labor Model” by Fujian provincial Party committee and Fujian government. In 2013, he presided the creation work of the traditional Chinese painting Cai Lun Making Paper of  national Art Creation Project On Chinese Culture Subjects.
