I grew up on Xinghua Plain near Meizhou Bay. I am not a luck person. My life journey is just like the twisted Magnolia River in my hometown. I used to be a part-time worker, a farmer. My head used to be hurt by big stones in an accident while I was carrying stone downhill with a handcart in a construction site in the mountain. My family also suffered many frustrations and brought me both physical and mental pains… however, more sufferings have deepened my understanding of life and made me more cherish the life and become more persistent in art pursuit. Life is like a book, full of different tastes. If we read it carefully, we can feel its tastes and understand its philosophy.

Although Gu Kaizhi said, painting people is the most difficult among  all kinds of painting. I have loved painting people since childhood and never want to change.  Humans are the wisest of all creatures. Human life is the parent of  art creation. Artists need to embrace the life and the richness of a human being can be best and most directly demonstrated by human being himself/herself. I would rather put my attention on the subject of human life and devote myself to figure painting creation.
